Lisa will be attending the Hamptons Contemporary next week and has been asked to show some of her work. As a contributing artist, she will be in the LMC Design Group booth. One of her works, seen here, will be placed behind a 15’ bar by Clive Christian. Also represented in the LMC booth will be Hermes, Paris Ceramics, and Saint Louis crystal. The space, and the bar, will be playing host to the Architectural Digest opening gala.
Mark working on 20 landscapes for New York
Mark will be contributing 20 landscapes for sale, for the Hamptons show. The miniatures are mounted in custom hand-made shadow boxes, placed on archival museum matboard, and behind museum glass. Visit markholmesfineart.com for all works for sale at the show. The works are presented by Lori McCuaig of LMC Design.
Teaching
Mark was flown to an out-of-state residence to teach the local decorative paint company some finish techniques, on a project nearing completion. Our artists are not always available for longterm out-of-town stays, so sometimes we are happy to help out a local crew. We can help them mix materials, and show them the proper techniques for achieving a particular finish a Designer picked from a sample in our studio. Josh usually handles that for us.
Our artists at work
Paloma is most comfortable where the action is. Our artists are most accommodating. And action-packed our studio usually is. Our main studio is set up with folding and modular walls. As we are called upon for out-of-town projects, some of which require up to a year of painting, we have perfected techniques for working on canvas that can be completed in studio, and shipped to the residence to be installed. From there the team arrives and finishes the painting,
Finishing Touches
Josh is putting some finishing touches on canvas pieces that will be rolled up, shipped, and installed in a client’s home out-of-state. A canvas was painted for each wall of this room. Seen in this photo is the storyboard for the layout, as well as one of the canvases in the background. The ornament is 23.5 karat gold leaf, that will later have glazes and drop-shadows, which will give it dimension.
